Eighteen components to narrate a widespread and coherent ritual landscape.

The serial site
A sacred and cult heritage spread across the territory
The 18 selected components represent the exceptional sacred and cult heritage of protohistoric Sardinia and are set within the profound social, settlement and cultural transformations that affected the island between 1800 and 750 BC.
Sacred architecture is one of the strongest elements of continuity in this long historical process, accompanying its development through a progressive evolution of architectural solutions and ritual practices.
The series also testifies to the extraordinary spread of places of worship throughout the territory: Giant’s Tombs, water temples, megaron temples, circular buildings, specialized workshops, porticoes and stepped areas for public ceremonies.
